Stewardship All that we are and all that we have belongs to God. As stewards of God's creation, we are called to give of ourselves generously and to manage our resources wisely to accomplish God's works of love in the world. (Matthew 25:14-20)
Ministry Paracletians proclaim the Gospel by performing the various ministries to which they have been called by the Holy Spirit. In the spirit of servanthood, we do Christ's work in the world in accordance with the Paracletian mission.
Self-examination We regularly review our actions and goals to discover where we have sought our own selfish ends instead of the will of God and where we have fallen short in keeping our vows. Like the man in the parable told by Jesus, we pray, "God, be merciful to me, a sinner." (Luke 18:13) Self-examination leads to a clearer sense of our identity and direction, to repentance and to rededication to following the way of Jesus Christ. (Acts 2:37-38)
Reconciliation Our mission is to serve God, "who reconciled us to himself through Christ," (2 Corinthians 5:18), through works of reconciliation, especially among the poor. In witness to Christ's reconciling love we work through our ministries and relationships to heal brokenness, to end oppression and injustice, and to reconcile people with God and each other.
Respect for Persons Seeking to be the "servant of all," (Mark 9:35), we respect the dignity of every human being, including the poor, the neglected, and the outcast, as all are made in God's image. Within the Community we practice mutual support and renounce the selfish use of power and authority. As Paul notes, one commandment sums up all others: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Galatians 5:14) We build positive, loving relationships, and communicate openly and honestly. We support the spiritual growth of our sisters and brothers, "that we may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith." (Romans 1:12)
